Duty Manager of Operations
Purpose of the position:
To provide and maintain daily operations management oversight of Wizz Air fleet and to control / coordinate the work of involved Agencies and the Operations Control Center personnel with his/her best knowledge in order to obtain safe, economical and passenger oriented operation on the highest standard.
Place in the organization: Duty Manager reports to Team Manager of Duty Managers
Responsibilities:
The Duty Manager is responsible for:
- Continuous monitoring of all flight operations and where the safety of a flight is in doubt, take all possible steps to ensure the safety of crew and passengers
- Tactical decision making
- Disruption management
- Proactive management of possible longer term exposures to daily operations
- In case of a Flight Safety Occurrence of Operational Disruption, the Duty Manager on duty notifies the appropriate company personnel / authorities
- In case of an emergency, alarming and calling together the Crisis Management Team
- Operations Pre-planning / fleet tail assignment based on maintenance requests
- Flight monitoring and fleet control
- Internal and external communications
- Sending the schedule and rotation plan to airports, ground handling agents and maintenance providers
- Preparing / handling reports and feedbacks
- Controlling the work of OCC positions and all other positions that are delegated positions to OCC but not being part of OCC by organization set up
- Arranging airport slots in ad-hoc cases
- Filling the daily operations checklist
- Providing recommendations on improving processes, systems and management practices in OCC
- Developing and amending OCC procedures
- Other duties assigned by Head of Operations Control and Team Manager of Duty Managers

Requirements:
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- 3 or more years of experience in aviation industry
- 2 or more years of experience in Operations Control
- Navigational experience is an advantage
