Fleet Manager

Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure that all maintenance carried out on Wizz Air fleet in a dedicated region is completed in accordance with all regulatory requirements and company procedures and standards.
- Monitoring of technical status of dedicated fleet on a day-to-day basis
- Coordination of defect rectification with Contracted Maintenance Provider and MOC
- Coordination of other maintenance related functions with ground handling providers (e.g. aircraft washing, towing, deep cleaning etc.)
- Assistance in continuous process improvement to ensure optimized communication and cooperation process between LM supplier and Wizz Air departments
- Oversight of provider’s facilities: offices, hangars and stores
- Provision of general engineering/technical advice to providers. Sharing Wizz experience and “know how”.
- Contract maintenance support down route according to MOC requests
- Management and monitoring of Contracted Maintenance Provider’s performance of contractual obligations. Be a direct contact for contracted MRO in Wizz Air
- Performance of physical spot-checks on aircraft and maintenance providers
- Check and approval of providers Invoice, cost control
- Issue of Internal Work Order for performance by contracted Maintenance Organization
- Work closely with WZZ Purchasing department
- Evaluate potential new Providers bids, capability, quality system, background etc.
- Visit and evaluate potential Provider facilities
- Lead the technical side of negotiation process with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Maintenance Repair Organization (MRO) etc.
- Coordinate maintenance activities between MRO and Wizz Maintenance Planning department. Make sure the assigned tasks are within MRO capability
- Coordinate major recoveries of assigned fleet in dedicated region
- Coordinate logistics, shipments, delivery and customs activities between Wizz Technical Supply Team and MRO in the dedicated region
- Propose initiatives for continuous improvement, both from a quality perspective and economical perspective
- Be the primary project manager, coordinator and owner for Wizz own Heavy maintenance allocation strategy. Coordinate and lead all activities related to this project between contracted parties, Wizz Purchasing and Controlling. Lead and oversight of all stages of the project including search and assessment of potential locations, development of the land, contracting the investors and MRO, progress with construction and MRO setup, allocating the Heavy maintenance capacities and follow up of performance
Requirements:
- Finalized BSc or MSc degree
- Fluent professional English both written and spoken
