Responsibilities:

  • Support Wizz Air MCC and MRO’s to perform on-wing trouble-shooting for both engines and APU’s by issuing detailed work instructions and reviewing findings
  • Support Wizz Air Fleet Acquisition department with the sale and leaseback of both aircraft and engines
  • Support Finance department with forecast of expected engine and APU shop visits and costs
  • Support aircraft and engines end of lease process
  • Engine shop visit planning and coordination with Wizz Air Planning team and OEM
  • Supplying engine and APU removal data in a timely manner to OEM and shops
  • Review and approval of engine and APU shop visit workscopes
  • Co-operation with engine and APU OEM field service representatives to resolve on-wing issues in a timely manner
  • Review of borescope inspection reports/photos/videos to ensure damage is correctly assessed and appropriate re-inspection interval applied
  • Review of engine and APU maintenance requirements (AD’s, SB’s, LLP’s, AMP etc.) and configuration control;
  • Participation in powerplant and APU related tenders and negotiations;
  • Co-operation with HME, MCC, Planning team and Technical Supply
  • Maintenance reserve management and administration;
  • Participate in reliability program periodic review;
  • Engine and APU health monitoring, issue work instructions to address issues highlighted by the OEM;
  • Support development of engineering department team members

Requirements:

  • Fluent English
  • University technical degree (minimum – BSc)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an airline powerplant engineer
  • IAE V2500 and PW1100 engines experience, both on-wing trouble-shooting and off-wing shop visit management
  • Preferably APU 131-9[A] experience, both on-wing trouble-shooting and off-wing shop visit management
  • Aircraft and engine contract experience
  • Expert level knowledge of both engine and APU off-wing maintenance contracts
  • Experience of aircraft/engine end of lease process
  • Management Experience
  • Leadership skills
  • Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
