Station Supervisor – Ground Operations
(Budapest)
We are seeking a Station Supervisor to join our Ground Operations Department in Budapest. This role is ideal for a motivated aviation professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced operational environment and is eager to contribute to the safe and efficient operation of ground services.
You will become a part of a motivated and highly capable team that supports our operations in Hungary and across our network. In this role you will work closely with the Ground Operations (GOPS), Security (SEC) and Operations Control Centre (OCC) teams in Budapest and play a key role in maintaining operational standards and achieving service level targets.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all ground handling activities (including security search) at the station
- Act as the local operational point of contact between Operations Control (OCC), Maintenance Control (MCC) and Ground Handling Service Providers, and escalate to Ground Operations Management when required.
- Manage day-to-day station administration and operational documentation
- Handle operational irregularities and support disruption management
- Support the implementation of new procedures and actions to meet service level and performance targetsPrepare operational reports and maintain accurate operational records
- Support the training, supervision, and development of ground staff
- Perform additional duties assigned by Ground Operations management
Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisory or turnaround coordinator role within the airline or ground handling industry
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced operational environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external partners
- Good knowledge of airport safety regulations and operational procedures
- Ability to work in shifts (in accordance with operational needs), including weekends and public holidays
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and reports
- Legal right to work in Hungary
- Fluency in English and Hungarian
- Valid driving license
