AOG Recovery Technician
(B1 and/or B2 Licensed)

Department: Base Maintenance /AOG Response Team
Join our newly established AOG Response Team from the start and help get grounded aircraft back in the air. Based in Budapest, you’ll perform full maintenance tasks locally and on-site worldwide when urgent support is needed. Your readiness for rapid deployments will be rewarded with a premium on top of your base salary, and all out-of-country assignments come with additional compensation.
Your Role
- Rapid deployment for AOG situations across Europe and beyond
- Full base maintenance tasks in remote locations
- Work within our Base Maintenance department when not on AOG duty
Your Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance on B737 and A320 aircraft in Budapest and abroad various tasks regarding Aircraft on the Ground. Out of AOG period base maintenance work should be performed.
- Conduct aircraft system repairs and structural repairs, engine changes, and more
- Certify aircraft for return to service in compliance with EASA Part-145
- Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with engineering/logistics teams
- Represent Lufthansa Technik professionally in international environments
- Be ready to deploy on short notice (within 72 hours) and adapt to diverse working conditions
What We’re Looking For
- Valid EASA B1 or B2 license
- Minimum 2 years recent experience on type
- B737 and A320 type rating required
- Strong English communication skills. Hungarian is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel frequently and freely worldwide without visa restrictions.
