Key Account Manager (M/F)

The Key Account Manager is the central interface between Lufthansa Technik facilities and the customer after contract signature. She/he is the central point of contact for all issues (with special focus on commercial issues) and secures a coordinated communication to the customer in other fields on operational level. She/he takes care of the specific needs and interests of a customer segment / single customer and translates them into the organization and vice versa. The Key Account Manager aims at providing solutions for customer demands and thus increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Contracting

  • Build-up of a close, resilient and trust based relationship between a Customer and LHT
  • Development of strategies to increase customer satisfaction, loyalty and profitability within given contract framework
  • Exploration of further customer needs and realize up selling potential (all LHT products) together with Central Slot Allocation
  • Continuous improvement of interface Customer – LHT
  • Thorough preparation of contract negotiations (incl. individual quotations)
  • Initiating, organizing and carrying out sales activities within given guidelines

Project related

  • Manage CWR database (Customer Work Request), creating and updating records in the Customer Database
  • Steering of Customer Care Activities
  • Setting-up of bilateral customer-facility communication – e.g. engineering, planning, logistics, quality, etc. prior to a/c input
  • Organization of Quotation Review Meeting and of the initial facility internal project kick-off meeting
  • Defining the final work pack before A/C input (Freeze of work pack)
  • Assistance to the Project Manager in commercial discussions where clarity is needed over contractual interpretations
  • Cooperation with the Project Manager in identifying, realizing up selling potentials during a layover and in the CWR process
  • Constantly informing customer portfolio about new products and product improvements
  • Coordination of agency related Service Level complaints (interface with customer)
  • Attend and support the FRS-process (Financial Release to Service)
  • Cooperation with Finance in the invoicing process (e.g. invoice x-check / approval) as well as coordination of warranty and of invoice clarification (interface with customer)

General Tasks

  • Support of Central Network Management with LIVE inputs and local information (LIVE SPOC)
  • Support of DLH projects in the facility
  • Misc. tasks upon request

Your profile

Technical competencies

  • A-level/High school diploma or equivalent relevant education
  • Many years of work experience in Sales or Key Account Management
  • Knowledge of the positions specific field of expertise
  • Good knowledge of MSOffice applications product
  • Personal competencies
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Ability to communicate with customers at all levels
  • Ability to work under pressure and to be decisive
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to deal with a broad variety of issues
  • Good linguistic skills
  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Relevant experience in a similar position
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information
  • Expected to work flexible hours in order to meet deadlines and attend to the customers’ needs after office hours
